Returns Policy



You may return any unused or un-worn item at any time.  There is not a cutoff date.  You just can't have used it.  It can't come back smelling like your aftershave or coated in dog hairs, cigarette smoke is another no-no.  You don't have to have any reason either - just you didn't end up wanting it.  If it is a long time after the purchase, we would want to know why it took you so long, just for entertainment’s sake.  

If we made an error or the item was damaged, please contact us first since you should not have to pay to ship the item back.  Call our retail store at (800) 585-0086 or email orders@chapelhillsportswear.com so that we can send you a return label.  

We try to handle returns and exchanges within the week we receive them.  I will admit that in busy times, we often process new orders and handle returns as time allows.  This means if you really want the exchange quickly you might want to place a new order and send the item back for a refund.  We offer a discounted shipping rate for exchanges of $5.00, so it does cost you a little money in shipping to place the new order, instead of the exchange.

You can begin the process on the site by logging into your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received it and processed it.

Be sure to include a copy of the order, and make any notes about what you would like to happen; such as exchange for a medium in the same shirt, or refund my money, or exchange for a different item.  Also make sure to include contact information, just in case we need to clarify something.  

We want you to get the Tar Heel item that you want, so don't hesitate to contact us about any product with which you are less than happy.  We will try to make you happy.
